  • Wednesday 17 June 2020 Calling all dads The Tower Hamlets Parental Engagement Team is inviting dads/male carers in Tower Hamlets to a meeting to celebrate Fathers’ Day. The meeting will be held as a virtual discussion forum for male carers to meet and talk informally about fatherhood during the current health crisis.

We have been honoured to welcome two well-known authors and an amazing illustrator to our school this year: Michael Rosen, Jo Cotterill and Axel Scheffler. While we are all separated and stuck in our homes, we asked children to send in their feelings about reading and what they enjoyed about our visitors.

  • Friday 24 April 2020 Virtual Easter Bonnet Parade We didn't get to have our usual Easter Bonnet Parades this year so we invited pupils to send in photos of bonnets that they made over the Easter break.
  • Wednesday 4 March 2020 Plastic Action Day Our school councillors decided to organise a Plastic Action Day in which the they led an assembly, each class took part in an activity using recycled plastic and we collected plastic pledges from children and adults around the school.

  • Friday 7 February 2020 London Primary Urban Debate League Since November 2019, over half of UKS2 pupils have been taking part in Debate Mate Club. The children have worked enormously hard and have shown tremendous dedication. All their hard work culminated in participation in the first round of the London Primary Urban Debate League, hosted at Redlands Primary School after school on Tuesday 4th February 2020.

  • Monday 18 November 2019 Shakespeare Schools Festival After months of preparations, a cast of Year 6 pupils performed their version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Albany Theatre on Monday 11th November. Most of the school were lucky enough to see a dress rehearsal in school and it only got better and better with every run-through.

  • Wednesday 30 October 2019 Year 4 Migration Workshop On Tuesday, a special visitor delivered a wonderful, insightful workshop on the migration of people throughout history, linking the Windrush to current events around the world such as the turmoil in Syria and Yemen.
  • Thursday 19 September 2019 School Council present their petition Yesterday, three members of our School Council went to the local Tower Hamlets Council meeting to present their petition to them. The representatives spoke with confidence and impressed the councillors, earning several rounds of applause.
