Calling all dads

The Tower Hamlets Parental Engagement Team is inviting dads/male carers in Tower Hamlets to a meeting to celebrate Fathers’ Day.

The meeting will be held as a virtual discussion forum for male carers to meet and talk informally about fatherhood during the current health crisis.

It will be held on Friday 19th June between 2pm and 3pm, topics to include:

  • Ideas about keeping your children happy, occupied and taking part in education.

  • How have you been coping?  Is there a need for extra parenting support or advice on home learning during lockdown?

  • Getting the work/family balance right if you’ve been working from home.

  • How to join the Dads’ Network and find out about services and resources to support you and your family.

  •  A free activity bag with lots of resources to support play and creative learning for your children will be available for every dad/male carer who attends this meeting.

They would like to hear from you with suggestions for topics to discuss.

If you are interested please email andy.simons@towerhamlets.gov.uk  for full details of how to join the meeting. Or call 020 7364 6398 to book a place.
