Plastic Action Day

The school council recently met with school council members from other local schools to decide on a local issue affecting the Isle of Dogs. Together, the children on the island have decided to focus on the plastic crisis and each school has decided on their own course of action. Our school councillors decided to organise a Plastic Action Day in which the they led an assembly, each class took part in an activity using recycled plastic and we collected plastic pledges from children and adults around the school. We will be meeting again soon with the other schools to decide on future actions to continue to tackle this crisis.
