Year 4 Migration Workshop

On Tuesday, a special visitor delivered a wonderful, insightful workshop on the migration of people throughout history, linking the Windrush to current events around the world such as the turmoil in Syria and Yemen. She made children ponder on the difference between a refugee and a migrant. Sharing a magical story from a different culture about a brilliant character called Waseela, she explained how migrants and refugees bring new ideas and stories to revitalise and develop the country they are now in.
