Arnhem Wharf has developed strong links with local businesses, in order to promote community cohesion.
Business in the Community (BITC) and Broadridge
Business in the Community is a business-community outreach charity which supports our partnership with Broadridge Financial Solutions. Volunteers from Broadridge take part in the Reading and Maths Partners programme every week with students in Year 5. In addition, pupils have taken part in some fantastic projects with the support of volunteers from Broadridge:
- Lego Robots: In recent years, pupils from Year 4 took part in a Lego Robots and Team Building event that gave pupils the chance to practise key programming and team building skills.
- Empowering Women Project: Year 6 girls take part in this annual celebration of International Women’s Day, researching issues around female empowerment and preparing a presentation to deliver to an audience of girls at an afternoon tea event.
- Jamie’s Food Revolution: Year 2 took part in this cooking lesson, led by Jamie Oliver on a videolink. Broadridge provided the ingredients for a delicious and healthy ‘Squash It’ Sandwich and helped the children create their own masterpiece.
The Tower Hamlets Education Partnership is a Schools company established by school leaders to deliver high quality school improvement to all Tower Hamlets schools. It is rooted in the highly successful collaboration that has characterised and underpinned education in the borough over the last two decades. Our schools operate as a family to support, challenge and encourage each other in their determination to do the very best for every child.
Isle Of Dogs Collaborative
We also work closely with the other schools on the Isle of Dogs to support each other and share good practice.
